Merry Christmas everyone. I want to let you in on some of the most found memories over the years. In the above picture are some of the most important people and influential people in my life. This group consists of my dad’s best friends from his childhood. It is amazing to me that they have stayed so close and in touch with one another. My dad’s group of friends has expanded as each one has gotten married and had children.
The suspects from left to right starting in the back, Bryan Wright, Cynthia Wright, Cindy Pair, Nancy Tillery, Kim White, Tyler White (me), now left to right on the bottom Steve Wright, Eddie Pair, Jim Tillery, and David White. The only ones missing are my sister Ashly and Jim and Nancy’s son Todd.
Now just so you know I think of these people as family, there are countless times throughout the year that we all get together and have a good time. Sometimes we go to games together, play golf, vacations, help each other move, or just drop by. I must say that I am very lucky to have these people in my life. I know without a doubt I can count on each one of them for anything, and I mean anything. When Hurricane Irene wreck our house, everyone in the picture was there at our house helping to put the pieces back together within hours of finding out.
I have learned important lessons from everyone in our group. I think some of the most important lessons I have learned is in their example of friendship and genuinely caring for one another. It is rare in this day to have friends that stick around for a couple of years let alone decades as in my dads friends case.
I just wanted to take the time and say how grateful I am to have each one of them in my life. I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! It’s hard to believe that we are one week away from Christmas Eve tomorrow. As I have gotten slightly older it seems like time keeps going faster. As I look back on all the good memories I have had in my life it’s hard for me to believe that I am 23 years old. It really doesn’t seem that long ago that I was waiting with anticipation of Santa Claus, well I guess that was only 3 years ago? Anyways I just really want to say thank you to all of those who have impacted my life and have helped me thus far reach my goals. I know I couldn’t of done it without you. Don’t forget the ones who have helped you along the way, because I guarantee you that you didn’t get there alone.
