Family

We don’t have a choice when it comes to family. We have no say in who our parents are, brothers, or sisters will be. It’s really a game of roulette when it comes to the unit we will be attached to for the rest of our lives. In my case I’ve been very fortunate to have a caring family. Currently I am on vacation with them down in Murrell’s Inlet, it has been a memorable time. 

As I have aged and started my own life away from my family these times are even more precious to me. I do not have the luxury of being with them all together like I did growing up. In fact it is getting much rarer as I live in Raleigh and my sister lives at the coast. Although it makes the times that we are all together more meaningful. 

Never take for granted the ones who love you the most in life. It’s becoming increasingly harder to find genuine people in this world. Loyalty is all but dead in some cases. Many of the shortcomings in today’s world can be attributed to people and their selfish agendas. We have all been guilty of being of being selfish. Sometimes it takes us to look inward to be the change that we want to see in others. Always put people at a premium over possessions, especially the ones who are in your inner circle.
