The weather is starting to warm up and you are looking for something that can be versatile for the Summer months. Do you go the boat shoes route? Personally I am not a big supporter of boat shoes as I feel like they are too wide spread and a little too preppy. What about some fresh Nike’s? I love classic Nike’s and believe they are a great option. My favorite throwback Nike’s are the Kill Shots. However you are looking for a summer shoe that can go anywhere and something you are not afraid of messing up. I mean with beach trips, BBQ’s, and all the other warm weather activities disaster is bound to strike at some point.
My number one shoe for the Summer is….
Classic Vans:
For starters these shoes will cost you about $45 dollars and they look great with everything. You can dress down a suit with them, wear them with jeans, no socks and shorts, and you can even wear them on the boardwalk with your swim suit. I would argue that no other shoe has as much utility in the Summer months than Vans. Another beautiful quality about Vans is how over time they fade into a unique personal color. I have a pair of blue ones that are now faded and look awesome. At 45 dollars you can simply not care if they get stained or beat up, truthfully it only adds character to them. So get yourself a pair of Vans this Summer and reap the rewards!
